Use the right office for a bill or infrastructure concern
Bexley purchases water and sewer services from Columbus but bills residents through City Hall. Its Service Department maintains public sanitary sewer, storm sewer and water distribution infrastructure. A Columbus-supplied system does not mean every concern starts with a Columbus account.

Compare the quarterly period fairly
Bexley sends water bills quarterly. Check the reading period, occupancy and water-using activities before interpreting a larger total as a newly leaking fixture. Keep the prior and current register values, not just the dollar difference.
Separate account questions from visible pipe trouble
Use Bexley’s water billing resource for an account concern and its Service Department for public infrastructure concerns. For an indoor drip or failed fixture, tell the business the observed location and any earlier utility assessment.
Define the indoor finding and price
Ask whether the initial assessment covers fixtures, accessible supply pipe or equipment and how the finding will be tested. Keep any opening and finish repair separate in the scope so a leak investigation does not become an unclear remodeling charge.
Prepare the property and repair details
State Bexley, the full address and the fixture or equipment involved. Describe whether water is still escaping, whether one or several fixtures are affected and any safe isolation already performed. If you are unsure of the source, say so rather than repeating an assumed diagnosis.
- Explain entry, parking and any building-access restrictions.
- Identify the person who may authorize repairs.
- Have prior inspection notes or equipment photographs available.
Arrange the right assessment
Call with your full address and ask whether the business handles your fixture or equipment. Confirm the visit charge and who can authorize repairs in a shared building.
